Hello Again!
As I approached this month, I thought I would write about Mother's Day. In fact, I have written a couple of Mother's
Day poems that are among my favorites..."My Mother" and "The Greatest Mother In The World"
My reflection upon Mother's Day took me in an unanticipated direction. It led me into an inquiry about what life must
be like for women born into the expectations of this culture, society and world.
I have been blessed with two magnificent daughters. They represent the grandest demonstration of womanhood
that I can imagine. I am thankful for what I have been able to discover about life through them. They have a natural
wisdom that guides them and they inspire all who witness them.
My daughters served as the inspiration for this month's poem, "The Wise Woman" It reflects the theme of this month's e-zine, "What Is The Opportunity Of Being A Woman In This Culture, Society
and World?"
