Hello Again!
I have four magnificent children, Alexis, Ariana, Jared and Seneca, who, to our great fortune, have been blessed
with devoted mothers. Their success in life clearly reflects that.
Being a parent may be the most challenging role for a human being to play. There seem to be so many conflicting
beliefs about what a "good" parent should and should not do and be. Who would welcome the experience of being a failure
as a parent?
Additionally, there are so many things that clearly seem to be beyond a parent's control in seeking to be an effective
steward on behalf of their child.
What is the role of a parent?
Like most parents, it has been my intention to be as supportive as reasonably possible. On the other hand, a good part
of my focus has been on getting out my children's way so they could be themselves and pursue their passions,
without having to be unduly burdened by my expectations, attachments, issues, fears, doubts, considerations, concerns and
ego.
My prayer for my children has always been that they each live an inspired and inspiring life, fulfilling their
purpose, potential and destiny, whatever that might be. I am grateful that this prayer has been answered.
